Michael Clark’s first book The Mysterious Greatwood was for children and published by Hamish Hamilton in 1972. It has long been out of print, but is now completely re-worked in colour and published from Tewin Orchard in 2007. His Mammal Watching, published by Severn House in 1981 was re-printed by Hamlyn in paperback and they also printed a Tracker guide to field signs of Mammals by the same author, 1991.

His best selling book has been Badgers which has been published in a third edition with the latest information on bovine tuberculosis which has long been linked to badgers and has involved culling the species in certain areas.
